Mitchell Small, winner of the 2011 TWME Scholarship

The picture to the left appeared in the 2012 Summer/Fall edition of "Engenuity", the source of engineering and geoscience news in New Brunswick. The accompanying article said in part: "Shaw is the seventh scholar to win this award. ... [She] graduated in June, 2012 from Fredericton High School. While there, she was very active in student affairs which included being secretary of the student executive council and on the cross-country and track and field teams. Outside of school, she played recreational soccer and, for seven years, has been involved with Theatre New Brunswick. In the summer of 2011, Shaw was selected to attend a 2.5 week program at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, in Waterloo Ontario."

Laura is studying chemical engineering at UNB and is active in Engineers Without Borders.
